The concept is great. I walked to the edge of the field and tapped the GPS button. The satellite image popped up! So far, so good. Then I started walking. Wasn't sure how to let it know when I was taking a sample. Between core 9 and core 10, I glanced at the screen and saw that I had run into town. 6 miles in 2 minutes. I should be in the Olympics! After convincing the phone I was still in the same county, I continued sampling and named both fields. When I finished, I tapped Done. It said not enough data and dumped the whole event. After I get a kid to explain it to me, I'm sure I'll love this app.

Worked great last year. Now the app has zero map data. I can't do any soil testing because I cannot see the grid or my location. Just a blank screen........ EDIT: the maps work on my ipad but not my galaxy s10 android device. Hope you can fix it! Edit. 2: I need to get soil testing done. Please fix the map issue. Currently an unusable app! EDIT 3: app is back up and operational on all platforms!! Thank you! Samples taken and mailed in. I really like the layout and how functional this app is!!

Still does not work on my Galaxy S10, Nov2020, and was told by Farmers Edge that they are aware of the issue with Android phones. It works on some phones, but not consistently on all Android. Bad for the Hefty/AgPhD name. Still does not work as of 12/27/2019. Has potential. Does not work on Android phones, YET. I was told another two weeks to fix a broken link in the app. Website does not mention anything problems, and the link is still active to download onto an Android phone, even though it does not work.
