Crop Pest Surveillance System - Kerala is an Authentic Mobile Application for the early detection effective management of Pest, Diseases.
The application “CROPSS- Crop Pest Surveillance System” aims to provide a single window information for farmers and general public, about various pests, diseases and nutritional deficiency problem of major crops cultivated in Kerala. This mobile application will help the farmer to self diagnose various pests, diseases and nutritional deficiency based on the symptom and get the authentic advisory and control measures from the Agricultural expert in a very short time. The application currently covers 20 major crops with more than 2300 quality images of symptoms.
This App acts as the virtual connect between the farmer and the respective agricultural expert of the concerned location.This will help the farmers to save the crop from severe damage due to pest and diseases and helps them to improve their productivity. This App also give you the local weather information and Soil Nutrient Status of your land.
How does it work
CROPSS gives you all the potential images of your crop pest, disease and deficiency symptoms you can choose a most similar one. You may also give another real image of your damage along with an optional audio description. The CROPSS app will understand the problem of your crop and your will immediately receive an authentic control measures from the scientists or experts.
