Very useful app. Use it for our cars. Easy to use while filling up or paying bills, etc. Have also received help direct from the owner, much appreciated. Backs up to dropbox which is great - I needed this when my phone was stolen. The only problem for me is that it can be a bit tricky to work out exactly what to do when there are missing records, although this is described in the on-line help section.
Bought Pro almost five years ago. This app has logged over 160,000 miles and $10,000 of repairs and upgrades for me. This is the single most important app, outside of basic phone operation, I have installed. I've tried other fuel logs but none have been able to claim the MyCars throne. Thank you dev, nice job.
As advertised! Has all the basic functions to track mileage over time, and tank to tank. Even supports partial fill ups! No need to fill in a bunch of unnecessary info, with options for it anyway. Fill out and track what you want, ignore what you don't. Absolutely an amazing no nonsense app. Purchasing Pro to support the dev, free version is ad free already with everything you could need. This is the type of legitimate practice I intend on backing.
DB Backup confusing and frustrating... I felt 3 stars was not fair and changed it to 4 and the response from the Author was deleted...very frustrating GOOGLE...The backup explanation was cleared up, however, I do think it should be redesigned in a future update to make the process in the app very clear. Ty for explaining it though in your response!
Very comprehensive Nice touch imputing third value of fuel volume/price/total from other two. Also great idea saving Fuel Station names for pop-up! Presentation Interface could be a bit tidier though - eg. three columns rather than two for Fuel (data) Log.
Scrapped the paper records I used to do all this in a notebook, now the app does it all and draws graphs and does analysis which is what I want but never did. Now the effort of capturing all the data actually has some purpose! I have a duel fuel vehicle and the app struggles to cope with economy across 2 fuel types but that could be user error. All told, very impressed and paper is so 20th century!
- Use of Floating Action Button (material design) and other UI improvements
- Filter capability in data/records tabs with filter by dates
- Quick-entry for refuels: auto-enter of decimal separator after n digits (see settings/refuel for quantity/price/cost)
- Quick-entry for refuels: fuel price pattern to avoid entering the last digit. Like 9 in the USA (see settings/refuel)
- In settings/display, you can choose which tab to open when app starts
