About this app

AhoTTS is a TTS (Text-to-Speech) system developed by Aholab Signal Processing Laboratory, a research group of the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). AhoTTS is installed as a system TTS Engine and can be used by any Android application to read the text from your screen with high quality synthetic voices either in Basque or Spanish languages.

A new user interface is also provided which allows straightforward text synthesis and includes advanced features as shortcuts to usual sentences and utterance memory.

In order to select AhoTTS as your default synthesiser for your Android device, go to Settings->Language & input -> Text-to-speech output and choose AhoTTS. Here you can change the language, and the speed at which the text is spoken. Selecting the settings of the engine you can also hear and download different voices for each of the supported languages, and if you have a personalised voice from AhoMyTTS you can use it in your device.

Supported languages: Basque, Spanish (Spain)

The synthetic voices have been developed with funding from the Basque Goverment.

This app is for personal use.

How many voices in Spanish are there? 4 or 2? Two additional voices of Alba and Alberto are they really additional or the only available? I can't find switch between female and male voices. There is only the switch between Spanish and Basque.
