About this app

Three minutes a day. One plate of six Korean words. That's a bite.

Lingoop Yakgwa is a casual Korean vocabulary app for people who found Korea through K-dramas, K-pop, food or travel — and want to understand the words they keep hearing, without a course, an account or a big time commitment. Yakgwa is a Korean honey cookie — and "that's yakgwa" is how Koreans say "that part's easy."

HOW A BITE WORKS
• Open the app and tap Start. Six cards, about three minutes — often less.
• New words come with a picture and a Korean voice, so you can learn even before you read Hangul.
• Guess the picture. If you get it wrong, the card comes back at the end of the round.
• Words you've learned come back for review at the right time (1, 3, 7, 16 and 35 days later) and climb through five boxes until they're yours.
• Done for the day? You can stop right there — or take one more plate.

WORDS YOU'LL ACTUALLY USE
Decks by theme, all included and unlocked:
Korean food · K-pop & drama · Greetings · Eating out · Travel · Feelings · Family & people · Getting around · Shopping & money · Directions & signs · Holidays · Phone & internet · Describing things · Numbers & time · Daily routine · Around the house · Weather & nature · Sports & hobbies · Body & health · Clothing

Start with Korean food (bibimbap, ramyeon, gimbap, kimchi…) and switch decks any time. Every word has a short example sentence in everyday spoken Korean, with an English translation.

MADE FOR SHORT ATTENTION SPANS
• Pictures first, words second — most cards are picture quizzes.
• Flashcards and listening quizzes appear as a word gets more familiar.
• A streak and an optional daily nudge at the time you pick.
• Boxes screen: see how many words you know and where each one sits.

NO FUSS
• No account, no sign-in, no email.
• Works fully offline. Your progress stays on your phone.
• Free with a short ad between some rounds. One optional purchase removes the ads for good.
• For ages 14 and up.

Lingoop Yakgwa is made by AiDEX LAB, the maker of Lingoop.
