Don't miss a thing you learn in Aikido practice.
AikiNote is a digital practice journal app specifically designed for Aikido. Quickly record insights, instructor's words, and the feeling of techniques gained during daily practice on your smartphone, and search and review them later. Furthermore, it features a community function that allows you to share your learning with Aikido practitioners around the world, transcending dojo boundaries and national borders. Supports both Japanese and English.
■ Solves these problems:
・Can't remember what you learned during practice later
・Inputting information is tedious, making it difficult to continue recording
・Can't find the record you're looking for when you want to review
You might think "I see!" during practice, but by the time you get home, you've forgotten the feeling and the instructor's words. Even if you want to write it down in a notebook, it's too much trouble to keep it up. It's difficult to find the record you want to review later. AikiNote was created to solve these three problems.
■ Main Features
【Practice Record ("Alone" tab)】
Recording is completed in 3 steps after practice.
1. Tap the "Create Page" button.
2. Select from tags related to attack, defense, and techniques, such as "Ikkyo," "Iriminage," and "Katate-dori."
3. Note down and save your learnings and insights.
* Title Templates:
Register up to 5 frequently used titles. Using date templates will automatically replace the title with the current date each time.
* Tag Management: Freely add and edit tags related to attack, defense, and techniques. You can also register up to 5 custom categories.
* Attachments: Attach photos (JPG/PNG/WebP, up to 5MB), videos (MP4/MOV/WebM, up to 300MB), and YouTube URLs to the page.
【Page Search】
Easily find your desired record by combining tags, dates, and keywords. Even if your memory is vague, you can find it using fragmented keywords.
【Calendar】
Visually check your training participation status for each month. Tap a date to record the days you participated in training with a circle. Manage your monthly goals, examination goals (Premium), and training record reminders (Premium) from here.
[Statistical Data]
See at a glance which techniques you're practicing most often.
[Community ("Together" tab)]
View posts from other Aikido practitioners and share your own learning.
* Post Feed: Switch between 3 tabs: "All," "Training Records Only," and "Favorites"
* Create Post: Share insights and questions with a body of text (up to 2,000 characters) and hashtags.
* Reply/Favorite: Conversation in thread format; save posts you're interested in as favorites.
* Post Search (Premium): Filter by keyword, hashtag, dojo name, and rank/grade.
■ Non-Competitive Design Philosophy
AikiNote employs a design different from typical social networking services.
* The number of favorites is only visible to the poster.
* There is no concept of following/following.
* Profile value is determined by the archive of posts.
* A slight randomness is added to the feed display order, creating an equal opportunity for all posts to be discovered.
We aim to create a space where users can focus on learning from their practice and the dialogue between users, rather than competing for the number of "likes."
■ Commitment to Ease of Use
* Mobile-First Design: Optimized assuming that approximately 90% of users access the site from their smartphones.
* Text Size Adjustment: Three levels: small, medium, and large. Comfortable for elderly users as well.
* Japanese-Inspired Design: Mincho font, calm colors, and a spacious layout.
* Simple Navigation: Only three tabs at the bottom of the screen to prevent confusion.
■ About the Plans
The free plan allows access to all practice record functions ("Solo"). Community functions ("Together") are also available, including posting, replying, favorites, and the favorites tab (the free plan is limited to 5 posts and replies per day).
The Premium plan (¥380/month / ¥3,800/year) unlocks the following features:
* Unrestricted posting and replying
* Post search function
* Management of evaluation goals
* Push notifications for training record reminders
* Training continuation reminders
■ Secure and reliable security
Training records are securely stored in the cloud, and all data can be accessed by logging in even if your smartphone is lost or you change devices. The community's health is maintained through a reporting function, posting frequency restrictions (up to 10 posts and 20 replies per hour), and automatic detection of inappropriate language.
