About this app

Compose music quickly wherever you are. Midify is a lightweight MIDI editor with a built-in AI chat assistant, designed to help you sketch and refine ideas fast. Whether you're a hobbyist, a student learning music, or a pro capturing ideas away from the studio, Midify gives you the tools to write and edit with ease.

Draw notes in the piano roll or type them using ABC notation. Watch your changes update instantly in MIDI playback and sheet music. Stuck or need ideas? Ask the built-in assistant — it reads your current MIDI or ABC input and suggests rhythm improvements, new melodies, or chord edits through natural conversation.

Midify makes it easy to get ideas down, experiment, and build on them — all from your phone or tablet.

Features:

- AI Chat Assistant: Ask for melodic ideas, rhythm tweaks, or harmonies. The assistant understands your music and replies with context-aware edits.

- Piano Roll + ABC Notation: Write music visually or by typing notes (A–G). Use whichever method suits you — both update the music in real time.

- Live Sheet Music View: See your composition as standard sheet music while you edit. Great for learning notation or sharing readable scores.

- Audio-to-MIDI: Convert a recorded tune or riff (WAV) into editable MIDI you can tweak or build on.

- MIDI Editing Tools: Adjust notes, timing, and velocity. Import MIDI files or start from scratch — Midify focuses on quick, creative editing.

- Cross-Platform Sync: Available on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. Start mobile, continue on desktop — files stay compatible and consistent.

Capture musical ideas fast and let AI help shape them. Midify is your portable assistant for turning sketches into songs.

Ratings and reviews

I mean, it seems good, I hate ai, but it's usage aside, I have a few problems relating to the tutorial. It explains a lot of how what you need, but also leave a lot out. Like, how do I change the tempo of the piece? Is there even a way to? I'm sure there is, but finding it is unintuitive and unexplained.

the app does not fit the screen, since all controls are on the very edge of the screen its completely useless

I hate how it refreshes everytime i open a midi or export causing the file to get damaged or not open
