About this app

CAST™ provides users with the ability to easily view, analyze and share sensor data to evaluate and improve performance. Simply install the CAST™ app on your Android device to view available NMEA data over a BLE or network connection. Create custom gauges and page views to see only the data that is important to you. CAST™ allows the user to perform speed, temperature, and attitude calibrations without the need for additional converters or cables. And, in addition to firmware updates, the app also logs all of the NMEA sensor data over a customized time period for analysis. Smart devices with Bluetooth connectivity can be used to view the data, creating a mobile powerhouse for your application.

Sounded like a good idea, but so far just a waste of time. It takes multiple attempts to connect to the device each time I try. Once a successful connection is made, if you go away from the app, you have to go through the connection process again. I can't see myself having the patience to go through this every time. I don't have this problem with other similar apps. It could be the transducer I suppose, I'm on my 2nd dst810, as the first stopped working completely the first time I used it.

Seems to work, not buggy so that's a win compared to most device driver apps. Could use more help documentation. The help link goes to the quick start guide, which doesn't really have any explanation of how the different speed calibration modes work.

Unable to use app with DST810. My Samsung Note 10 shows the transducer in the Bluetooth list, but isn't allowed to connect to it outside of the app. The app doesn't show the transducer at all.
