About this app

Airsoft Tactical is the app for organizing and playing airsoft matches with your team. It shows your teammates' locations on the map in real time, tracks objectives, and lets you communicate without a radio.

REAL-TIME TEAM MAP
See the position and direction of each teammate as you move around the field. Each player sees only their own team; the match organizer sees everyone. Distance rings at 20, 50, and 100 meters help you quickly gauge how far away an opposing player is.

WORKS EVEN WITHOUT A RANGE
Airsoft fields are often woods or warehouses without data coverage. When the network goes down, the app continues to exchange positions and messages between nearby phones via Bluetooth, and, if you have a Meshtastic LoRa node, up to a few kilometers away. You can even create a match and start it without a connection: it automatically synchronizes when the signal returns.

TEAM CHAT
Message only between your players, with notifications. It also works offline via the same radio network as the positions.

OBJECTIVES AND TOURNAMENT MODE
Create objectives to conquer, timed zones to control, and configurable scores. Tournament mode manages the appearance and expiration of objectives, awards points, and keeps the leaderboard updated.

ON-PITCH SAFETY
The SOS button immediately notifies all participants with your location in the event of an injury or problem. The medical system allows you to report who is out of action and who can put them back in the game.

YOUR MAPS
Import pitch maps in KMZ, KML, or GPX format: the map overlays the map, with points of interest, zones, and routes. You can also download the maps in advance to use them where there is no network.

VIEW THE GAME
Each match is recorded on your phone: at the end of the game, you can review everyone's movements on a timeline, with adjustable speed.

WHY LOCATION IS NEEDED EVEN IN THE BACKGROUND
During a game, your phone stays in your pocket or with the screen locked. That's why the app asks for permission to use your location even when it's not open: without it, your location would freeze, and your teammates would see you stuck where you were. Your location is collected only while a game is in progress and is shared only with the participants in that game. You can refuse permission by continuing to use the app with the screen on.

No registration, no account: you join a game by scanning a QR code.

What’s new

Nuove carte da importare: GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, carte OziExplorer e pacchetti MBTiles, da usare come base o come strato sopra la mappa. Il DE puo' seguire sulla mappa nodi Meshtastic usati come tracker, per oggetti o giocatori senza telefono. Il GPS del proprio nodo puo' fare da sorgente della posizione. L'import non resta piu' fermo subito dopo l'apertura dell'app e funziona anche senza rete. La visione notturna ora tinge la mappa senza cambiarla.
