Good: the story progress and character back and forth seems good. bad: the combat, in a party setting at least, did not work well. I did try and set up something for a reaction which didn't work. The monster acted between each character. If I tried to set up multiple actions at once, one for each character it kind of bugged out some. I also don't understand how damage works or how to count an attack. I had a rouge dart out of the shadows to make an attack and nothing monster attacked again.

Having played a little more, I have two big problems with it. Oftentimes, the Ai won't take the initiative, and it forces me to spend another token to progress the story. I could need to rethink my responses, but I feel like I'm giving it plenty of room to continue. The other is combat. I'm on balanced, second easiest, but the monsters just attack first, once, then I just get to hit them until they go down. Idk if it's stat related or what, but it's a bit lackluster. The rest is solid though.

I've just started playing this, but I absolutely enjoy the narrative. as somebody without a lot of local gamers to play with, I feel like I'm getting some enjoyable role playing in in a situation where not otherwise be able to. that being said, it is no replacement for the real thing. the AI is good but it's not perfect and the monetization point is a little bit high, still. I'm definitely buying some extra tokens at the least or perhaps getting a subscription if I continue to enjoy it.
