About this app

Miftah (the key) is a calm, privacy-first companion for the five daily prayers. Before a distracting app like social media, games, or your browser opens, Miftah gently pauses you and shows a moment of worship - an ayah of Quran, an authentic hadith, or a du'a - and lets you continue only after you pray or complete a short dhikr.

KEY FEATURES

Lock-to-Pray Engine
Choose which apps to pause during each salah window, with an adjustable buffer before and after. Every pause shows real Islamic content in Arabic, transliteration, and your own language - never AI-generated text. Unlock by marking salah prayed, reading a du'a, or completing tasbih. Gentle, medium, or strict focus modes, plus an honest emergency bypass - you're never truly locked out.

Complete Prayer Companion
Accurate GPS-based prayer times for all calculation methods and madhabs, Adhan notifications, and a Qibla compass. Track your five daily prayers and qada, with gentle streaks that encourage rather than shame.

Authentic Content
A full du'a library (Hisnul Muslim), daily hadith from Bukhari, Muslim, Riyad as-Salihin, and 40 Hadith Nawawi - each with its source and authenticity grade - plus Quran verses, 99 Names of Allah, and morning/evening azkar.

Built for the Whole Ummah
Full Arabic right-to-left interface, with UI and content translations in multiple languages. Ramadan mode, family mode for gentle salah reminders for children, and home-screen widgets showing your next prayer.

Privacy First
Miftah only detects the name of the app you open - never your messages, keystrokes, or on-screen content. Nothing is sold. Core worship features (prayer times, du'a, hadith, tracker) are free forever.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
Miftah uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one single, limited purpose: detecting the name of the app currently in the foreground. This is the only way to reliably pause a distracting app the moment it opens during your prayer window, before its content appears on screen.

What the Accessibility Service does NOT do:
- It does not read on-screen text, messages, or notifications
- It does not capture keystrokes or passwords
- It does not record audio or video
- It does not transmit any data off your device
- canRetrieveWindowContent is explicitly disabled in the service configuration

You are shown a clear consent screen before this permission is requested, explaining exactly what it is used for. You must actively tap "Enable" to grant access. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility > Miftah.
Pause distracting apps, pray, and reconnect - with Quran, hadith & du'a.
