Plugin Description (Enhanced Mode Plugin)

This plugin is an enhanced mode component for Network Share. In certain VPN or complex network environments, it helps the main app more stably receive connection requests from other devices on the local network and then forwards and shares these requests to the main app.

This plugin itself does not provide VPN services or create VPN tunnels. It is only a complementary module to Network Share to improve compatibility and stability.

Why this application must be excluded from VPNs (mandatory step)

When certain VPN applications are enabled on a device, the system will prioritize VPN tunneling for network connections on that device. In the enhanced mode workflow, if this plugin's network connection is also taken over by the VPN, the following problems may occur:

• The local connection between the plugin and the main application cannot be established or is unstable.

• Connection requests initiated by LAN devices cannot be correctly received.

• Connection requests are rerouted by the VPN, resulting in delays, failures, or anomalies.

Therefore, this plugin must be added to the "Do Not Use VPN" application list in the current VPN application's traffic routing/exclusion settings. This allows the plugin to use the system's default network path and local LAN capabilities, ensuring the normal operation of enhanced mode.

This step means that the VPN ignores the plugin's own network connection, without affecting the VPN behavior of other applications, and without bypassing the VPN to access restricted content.

How the Plugin Works

After enabling enhanced mode:

1. Other devices on the LAN initiate connection requests to the phone (e.g., through a hotspot or the same Wi-Fi network).

2. This plugin handles the local handover process of the connection request and hands the connection over to the main application, Network Share.

3. The main application completes subsequent network sharing or forwarding operations according to user settings.

The plugin is only used for connection forwarding in Enhanced Mode and does not independently intercept or modify system network configuration.

If your VPN does not support excluding this app

Some VPN applications may not offer the "Split tunneling / Exclude apps" function. In this case, the plugin may not work properly.

If you encounter this situation, we recommend using Network Share's "Enhanced Mode (External Forwarding)" solution directly.

This mode does not rely on the VPN's exclusion function and has better compatibility and stability in more VPNs and network environments.

Network Share's Enhanced Mode (External Forwarding) is continuously being iterated.
