Status Saver does two simple things, and does them well.

First, it saves statuses. Any photo or video status you have already viewed in WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business shows up in the app as a clean grid. Tap the one you like, hit Download, and it goes straight to your gallery — full quality, no screenshots, no screen recording. You can watch it again anytime from the Saved tab, even after it disappears from the original app after 24 hours.

Second, it opens chats with numbers you don't have saved. We've all been there — you need to message a delivery guy, a seller, or someone from a classified ad, and you really don't want them sitting in your contacts forever. Just type the number, pick the country code, and tap Open Chat. The conversation opens instantly. Your recent numbers are kept in the app so you can message them again later, and you can clear the list whenever you want.

A FEW HONEST NOTES

You can only save statuses you have already viewed — open them in your messaging app first, then come back and refresh. On newer Android versions the app will ask you once to grant access to the status folder; that's a system requirement, and it takes a single tap.

And please be decent about it: a status belongs to the person who posted it. Ask before you repost someone's photo or video, and don't use downloaded content in ways they wouldn't be okay with.

If something doesn't work on your phone, tell us before leaving a one-star review — we actually read the messages and most issues get fixed quickly.
