About this app
Akimba helps you find verified dog walkers. You choose a walk for your dog, see who will be walking them, and book through the app. When they leave, you can watch them on the map.
Leaving your dog with someone new can be scary. We know. That's why no one walks their dog without passing our verification and training filters.
Dog walkers you see before confirming:
Each walker has a profile with photos, experience, reviews, and ratings from other owners.
You can also find someone based on your dog's size, breed, energy level, or personality. Some dogs love to run; others prefer to explore at their own pace.
Track every walk live:
We'll notify you when the walk starts. Open Akimba and see the route via GPS in real time.
You can chat directly with the walker during the service, share instructions, and receive updates. At the end, you'll receive a report and photos of the walk.
The photos aren't lost in the chat. They're saved in your dog's photo gallery.
Your dog's information travels with them too:
Your profile stores their age, breed, size, behavior, special needs, and digital health record. This way, the walker knows the important details before heading out.
Last vaccination date? It won't get lost in a forgotten note.
Book a walk whenever you need one:
Find walkers near you, view their profiles, and book from your phone.
Save your favorite walkers to easily book with them again. If you have more than one dog, you can manage their profiles from the same account.
We also recommend walkers based on your dog's needs. You see this information before confirming, not after.
Clear payments within the app:
Pay with credit card, debit card, or PSE through Wompi.
The price is clear before booking. No hidden costs at the end.
Want to be a dog walker?
If you love dogs and are looking for a flexible way to earn money, you can also join Akimba. From the app, you choose which walks to accept, manage your schedule, build your reputation with reviews, and request pickups.
Plus, you'll find training courses to keep learning while walking dogs around town.
Available in Rionegro and Caldas, Colombia.
Download Akimba, register your dog, and find a walker for their next outing.
