Wonderful way to learn DSLR photography basics. So far I love this app. It helps that I am trying to learn how to better use my DSLR to get good pictures and not just lucky pictures. What I like about this app. 1. It does a superb job of breaking up the learning into smaller bits which are explained with words and excellent pictures, some of which are interactive. 2. The explanations are well done and easy for me. I am a computer graybeard and not a photographer. 3. There are suitable references to different brands of cameras such as Canon, Nikon, and Sony. 4. There are quizzes at suitable points to help you cement new knowledge. I have only one complaint about this app. When, not if, I have to leave it, it does not remember the page I was on such that when I come back to it I must start the section I was in from the beginning.
Simplified DSLR starter overview I have read most of this booklet and its well laid out. Maybe more I formation explaining exposure versus shutter speed versus ISO. these three options need to be understood to get the best setting. I'd like to see images of "over exposure" and "under exposure" by adjusting any one of the three main options. Give examples to show why and then how you can improve the results. But it's a great start.
¡Great App! Wow! This is the best teaching App I have found for a beginner using a Nikon D5300. The App gives GREAT and easy teaching, both written and visual. I use on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with no problems, lag or freezing. The quizzes and pictures are an essential addition to expanding your knowledge base. I BOUGHT the full program which was VERY inexpensive. ¡Highly Recommend to Beginner Photographers!
Sorry guys, I STILL can't give you 5 stars... The only thing STILL stopping me from giving this app 5 stars is the lack of photography exercises or challenges for the user to go out and do. The theory is spot on, but you're missing the opportunity to really leave your competitors in the dust. The Facebook integration in this update is a nice touch, but it's nowhere near as practical as detailed, goal-oriented shooting tasks. Give us some homework in the next update so we can put the knowledge into action and I'll come back and give you another star :-)
I like it but... This is a nice app and it is probably perfect on a tablet. However on a phone - even a 1080p screen - the screens for aspects like exposure tables are unreadable as you cannot resize them. A great shame, but still worth the money for the textual information.
