About this app

The AKVA group supplied ADIO2 board is an Ethernet based I/O board used in conjunction with the AKVAconnect software. The board is used for controlling feeding machinery as well as for general automation. It has a wide variety of digital and analog inputs and outputs, as well as connectors for Modbus RTU communications.

The ADIO2 contains a so called NFC (Near Field Communications) chip. The chip contains information that identifies the board, its MAC address and IP address as well as a user supplied description. The information is read by placing an NFC equipped Android phone in the vicinity of the attached NFC antenna. Once the information is read, the user may modify the description and transfer it back to the ADIO2 board.

Both reading and writing information may be performed without powering the ADIO2 board.
