Brezza Viva accompanies personal prayer on the Word according to the four stages of monastic tradition: lectio, meditatio, oratio, contemplatio. Read calmly, treasure a word, respond, and remain in silence.
It is neither a Bible reader nor an encyclopedia: it is a guide that leads you through a passage and accompanies you until your farewell.
DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE IN THEIR EIGHTIES
• Large text and large touch targets on every screen
• Dictation: you can respond verbally instead of writing
• Print: what you've meditated on can be taken away on paper
WHAT YOU'LL FIND
• The readings of the day's liturgy, with the liturgical calendar
• One hundred and forty-five pericopes in eleven thematic paths: mourning, illness, forgiveness, gratitude, waiting, trust
• Thirty-eight texts from the Church Fathers, each with its own source
• A personal notebook that stays on your phone
• A listening group with which a parish can share, if desired, what each person has meditated on
THE BIBLICAL TEXT
The text is the CEI 2008 version, served by BibleGet I/O, with attribution under each reading. Scripture is never generated: it is quoted.
THE ASSISTANT IS OPTIONAL
An assistant can create a journey starting from a specific moment in your life. It's turned off at the start and only turns on if desired, after a screen explaining what is being sent and to whom. Without it, the app works fully.
THE NOTEBOOK REMAINS ON YOUR PHONE
What you write in the Notebook stays on your device. The only exceptions are meditations that you choose, one by one, to share with your listening group.
No ads. No account. Only the assistant is a subscription: everything else remains free.
