AlertaViva – Description and Features
AlertaViva is a personal safety app: you define your contact network, and if something happens to you and you can no longer alert others (fall, accident, emergency, or inability to respond to "Are you okay?"), the app automatically sends an alert to your contacts with your location so they can help you.
Core Idea
It's not an app for others to control you. It's an app that acts for you when you can't: if you don't confirm an active session, if you activate SOS, if a possible fall is detected, or if, as a person alone, you don't respond to check-in, AlertaViva triggers an alert to whomever you've chosen, with your location and context, so they can react.
Main Features
You choose who to alert: Add trusted contacts. If something goes wrong, the app alerts them with your location; they don't control you, they only receive the alert when the app sends it.
Safety Sessions: Activate a session (e.g., "I'm going for a 1-hour run"). If you stop responding to reminders (because you've fallen, been attacked, etc.), the app sends an alert to your contacts without you having to do anything.
SOS / Immediate Alert: For when you can press a button: one button and the app instantly alerts everyone with your location.
"Are you okay?" for people you care for: You set schedules for seniors, children, or people who live alone. If they don't respond, the app alerts you (the caregiver) so you can check if something has happened. The alerts you receive appear in "Received Alerts" and you can mark them as resolved.
Companies and Groups: Groups (work, volunteering, etc.) with "Are you okay?" checks; if someone doesn't respond, the app notifies the leader.
Activity Modes: Boating, flying, hiking, running, etc.: session with duration and interval. If you stop confirming, the app sends an alert with your location.
People living alone: Check-in morning/afternoon. If you don't confirm, the app alerts the person you've designated.
Drain code: If someone forces you to unlock your phone, you enter a special PIN, and the app sends a silent alert without anyone noticing.
Fall detection: If a potential fall is detected and there's no response, the app can send an alert to your contacts. Apple Watch and widget: Confirm "I'm OK" from your watch; the widget summarizes your status. If you don't confirm, the alert logic continues in the app.
Alert types: The app can trigger (or you can, with SOS): no response to a check-in, potential fall, unresponsive senior/child, maritime or air emergency, domestic violence, kidnapping/robbery, group alert, etc. In "Received Alerts," you see the alerts you've received (as a caregiver or contact) and mark them as resolved when everything is alright.
Subscriptions: Free version with limitations; Premium expands contacts, session duration, and modes (Caregivers, Activities, etc.). In all cases, the main feature remains the same: the app alerts you when something goes wrong and you can no longer respond.
Summary: AlertaViva puts technology at your service: you configure your network and your rules (sessions, check-ins, SOS, fall detection). If something goes wrong and you can't alert someone, the app does it for you, notifying your chosen contacts and sending your location and context so they can help.
