Radio Programmer is an Android application to help read, edit, backup and program compatible HT configurations via a USB OTG programming cable.

The application is designed with a workflow that prioritizes radio data security. Before changes are written to the HT, the configuration can be read and backed up first. Once the write process is complete, the application can reread the data to help ensure changes are saved according to the selected configuration.

Compatibility levels may vary between models and firmware revisions. Beta or experimental models should be tested with a read-only process before writing.

For security reasons, Radio Programmer does not force writing to unrecognized radio profiles. Users are advised to always create a backup before changing the configuration.

Connection requires:

• An Android device that supports USB OTG
• A programming cable compatible with the radio station
• A compatible USB serial driver/chip
• USB permission from Android
