About this game

Tiny Crimes is a murder sudoku: read the clues, place the suspects, and reveal the killer. Every case is a tiny crime scene, a grid of rooms with a victim, a handful of suspects, and a set of clues. Use pure deduction to work out where everyone belongs.

The rules are simple, the cases are not. No two people share a row or column, every clue is true, and there is exactly one solution. When the grid is solved, the mystery resolves: the suspect left alone with the victim is your culprit. No guessing. No luck. Just clues, logic, and a quiet little crime waiting to be cracked.

NEW: a Daily Challenge, one fresh case a day for detectives everywhere, with a global leaderboard ranked by solve time.

FEATURES
- Murder-mystery deduction in a Sudoku-style logic grid
- A new Daily Challenge every day, plus a global leaderboard
- Cozy, hand-illustrated crime scenes full of suspects, rooms, and props
- Hundreds of whodunit cases, from gentle warm-ups to fiendish expert mysteries
- Pencil notes to track your theories as the case comes together
- Pure logic: every case is solvable by reasoning alone, no guessing
- Short, satisfying sessions for a coffee break or a commute
- Play fully offline, anywhere
- One-time purchase to remove ads, no subscriptions, ever

Update: still the same hint system issues, with updated game. OK I absolutely love this game, but I HATE the hint system! It gives random hints, so if I'm only stuck toward the end of a puzzle, I have to go through maybe 6-12 hints (and therefore 6-12 of the long ads) just to get the hint that I haven't already figured out. Game runs smooth, ads between levels are short about 15 seconds max, and the daily puzzles are great.

Smooth game, but would recommend using internet due to the leaderboard. Didn't have many ads, and it wasn't obnoxious if there were any. Having a tutorial would probably be preferable due to the similarity - but not conformity - to Sudoku. Certain Sudoku rules don't apply and it took me a second to figure out what it wanted me to do.

This works fine, and it's hard to complain about the gameplay, it works fine. I'm not a fan of the daily puzzle thing, but that's neither here nor there. Honestly, what puts me off about this is the art. The style is fine, I guess, but the orcs, kings, & rogues feel like this jacked the sprites from an RPG. And it does bother me that the art for the furniture is drawn from the wrong perspective. A lot of apps do that, but it makes this feel more like someone bought an asset pack. Fine but odd.

Fair and useful review. I'm glad you like the gameplay, and your points about the art are interesting. I don't completely agree, but still interesting and useful. I can always polish and improve things and it's true that some characters make more sense in some environments and others in others. I'll review that. Thank you!

What’s new

Hints now respond to your progress, with clearer explanations that update as you move suspects. We clarified the shoreline rules in Dead Cove and added a retry option when Remove Ads is unavailable.
