About this app

Al-Muqri (المقرئ) listens to your recitation and shows you, word by word, where
you got it right and where you slipped.

Open the mushaf, select a word or a phrase, and recite it out loud. Al-Muqri
marks each word green or red based on the letters and tajweed it actually heard
from you — makhraj, harakat, madd, ghunnah and the other tajweed attributes.

WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE
The speech recognition model runs entirely on your phone. There is no account,
no sign-up, and your voice never leaves your device — it is never uploaded to
any server. You can use the app on a plane, in a masjid basement, anywhere.

A NOTE ON SIZE
Al-Muqri is a large download because the AI model and the recitation audio are
bundled to work offline. Please install over Wi-Fi.

Al-Muqri is a practice aid, not a replacement for a qualified teacher. Always
verify your recitation with a mu'allim where you can.
