This APP is a free platform allowing you to monitor and optimize your energy 24/7, once you own an AlphaESS system.
It provides you with a comprehensive view of your energy ecosystem. It enables you to see in real-time the amount of your PV generation, your energy consumption, your battery energy and to set your preferences to optimize for energy independence and saving money.

Ratings and reviews

Honestly. epic. I genuinely rely on reviews for apps, to give me an indication of a product. If I look up some tech, I'll always check the reviews on the app store to see if it lives up to it. This app is darn accurate, the interface is great, and my grid consumption data, for what little it is reflects exactly on my bill. Very impressed. Without a sliver of doubt deserved a better rating than 2.5☆. Its a solid 4+.

The app is very easy to use and intuitive. The fidelity of the data with real consumption is very high and I like that. I only have minor feedback: when I display the dynamic price chart, it would be a lot better to see the current position in the day. That would be the biggest improvement to the app.

The app experience is a 4/5. The numbers on the app are dependent on how good the wiring on your battery is. Once my wiring was fixed, the app is great. The smart meter occasionally shows strange things that aren't possible. The app would benefit from using a websocket / persistent connection to show live data rather than web requests every 10 seconds, as this would help keep the data current in a more realistic fashion. Server Sent Events would be ideal for this.
