UGov Authenticator is the official identity and sign-in app for accessing UGOV digital services in Uganda. Prove who you are once, then approve every future login from your phone — no passwords, no shared codes, no hassle.

SECURE DIGITAL IDENTITY
Create your account using your Ugandan National ID. The app reads your ID document and confirms it belongs to you with a quick, guided face check — so only you can register your identity.

LIVENESS-VERIFIED FACE CHECK
Face verification asks you to complete simple, randomized actions to confirm a real, live person is present. This protects your identity against photos, screen replays, and impersonation.

PASSWORDLESS SIGN-IN
Once registered, you no longer type passwords. When you sign in to a UGOV service, a request appears on your phone — review it and approve or decline with a tap. Your identity stays on your device.

DEVICE-BOUND PROTECTION
Your credentials are tied to your device and protected by a personal security PIN and your phone's biometrics (fingerprint / face unlock). Even if someone knows your details, they can't approve a sign-in without your device.
