About this game

20bet is shot through the sight, and the sight will not hold still.

Holding a finger down draws the string. The longer you hold the further the arrow flies, but the sight also begins to wander in a slow figure that gets wider the longer you stay at full draw, so there is a window where you are drawn enough and still steady enough, and finding it is the game.

The wind arrives in gusts rather than as a constant. A steady breeze you can aim off for; a gust that lands mid-draw moves the whole sight picture and forces you to decide instantly whether to ride it out or let down and start again. The mountain range in the background is not only scenery -- the flag positions on the ridges tell you what the air is doing before it reaches you.

Release is a finger lift, and a sloppy lift throws the arrow slightly off the line the sight was showing, which is a real thing archers fight and it is modelled here.

Three modes: a classic ten-arrow end at a fixed target, moving targets that cross the range at varying speeds, and a duel where an AI archer shoots alternate arrows against you.

The results screen scores the end out of a hundred and draws the group so you can see whether you have a sighting problem or a technique problem.

The gallery unlocks bows, arrows and sight optics, each with different draw weight and drift behaviour.
