About this app

This book that we have in our hands is a book that contains a biography that reveals a microcosm of the second and third centuries AH, and it is a world as described by comparison with the world when Al-Jahiz lived in it. This world is a small part of it, but it is huge with the culture and thought it contains. It is the society of Basra, a segment of the Islamic society that was achieved at that time, and it was the Islamic culture that permeated it, flowed through the arteries of its people, imbued their lives, and dyed them with the dye of the Islamic faith, which was its foundation and foundation, its field and its beacon, and Muqtada was its companion.
Although the book's subject is miserliness and miserly people, what is in it is much greater than this. Al-Jahiz gathered in it the way of thinking of a group of people who lived in Basra in his days, and touched on stories and news that he made about them the focus of the book, and then the stories moved on to other news and stories about miserly people. They lived in pre-Islamic times, in the first era of Islam, during the era of the Umayyad dynasty, and in the era of Al-Jahiz, written by famous and prominent people, in which they indulged in miserliness and miserliness, and included everything they thought of in terms of matters that supported this path they chose in life, and Al-Jahiz was not satisfied with that.
Rather, he came with a message that responds to miserliness, and champions generosity and spending, and Al-Jahiz explains to us in all of this that he only chooses laughter, and even if the humor is intentional and calculated, it is spontaneous, and is not the first place and the highest level of attention, for behind it are the purposes of language and the path to knowledge. And goals towards which his psychological and intellectual analyzes are directed, and all of this is in a fabric that is hidden except to the deep contemplator, who wants to immerse himself in Al-Jahiz’s thoughts, purposes, philosophy, and the way he presents ideas, and this is something that no one has been able to study until today in a comprehensive and comprehensive study that extracts for us the essence of Al-Jahiz’s thinking, and the nature of His philosophy and vision.
