Skein gives you a small, considered set of people each day instead of an infinite feed. Your attention goes into conversations, not swiping.

BUILT FOR REAL PLANS
Conversations on Skein are meant to turn into something. Gatherings are real-world events you can go to, so meeting someone new doesn't have to start with a one-on-one drink.

SAFETY IS A FEATURE, NOT A FOOTNOTE
- Date check-ins. Before you meet someone, record where you're going and nominate a trusted contact. If you don't check in by the time you set, they're alerted. If that alert can't be delivered, Skein tells you plainly rather than pretending it went through.
- Report and block. Any member or individual message can be reported, and reports go to a moderation queue worked by a person. Blocking closes the conversation immediately and stops further contact.
- Moderated content. Photos are moderated on upload and messages in transit. Anything the classifier can't confidently judge goes to a human reviewer - nothing is auto-approved unread.
- Safety Center. Check-ins, trusted contacts and how to reach us, all in one place.
