About this app

Vestibio enables both patients and practitioners to perform vertigo exercises in vestibular rehab therapy (VRT) without the need of a separate timer, metronome app and other devices. It’s in all in one programmable metronome and it’s FREE!

Why was Vestibio created?
Vestibio was created for a family member who was prescribed to perform daily vertigo exercises (gaze stabilization) at home, which was crucial in their recovery from a vestibular disorder. We developed the app to help them easily perform their exercises, without having to coordinate between separate timers and a metronome app. They used the simple all in one tool to help them "train the brain" with the end result of reducing their symptoms of:
⇒ vertigo / feeling dizzy
⇒ vision changes and disturbances
⇒ balance
⇒ nausea
⇒ other vestibular disorder symptoms

Vestibio proved to play an important part in their vestibular rehab recovery so we decided to make it available to others who have been prescribed similar vertigo exercises to perform at home.

How can Vestibio help you?

For Patients
If you’ve been prescribed exercises in vestibular rehab (please see below for types of exercises), Vestibio can help you easily get them done. Enter all your prescribed info (sets, reps, rest and speed), press the start button and Vestibio will guide you through your whole workout. Once the workout is complete, your session is automatically saved - you can even enter session notes and a dizziness level!

No internet connection is needed to access the programmable metronome, so you can practice your vestibular rehab exercises at your convenience.

For Practitioners
Use Vestibio to guide patients with their gaze stabilization exercises during appointments. No need to have separate timers and a metronome app to keep track. Vestibio is an all-in-one programmable metronome app. You can input speed (BMP), reps, sets, rest duration's and the app will deliver a custom workout for your patients - from start to end.

Vestibio can also be prescribed to patients be used in daily “at home” workout sessions. No internet connection is needed for the programmable metronome, so patients are free to practice their exercises anywhere and anytime they wish.

Really useful app for helping me do my vrt exercises without getting distracted. Would be even more useful if you could split the sessions into different exercise types and grade and chart them separately, as with some exercises in my set I am ready for the next speed/level before others. A bit of gamification would also be cool - any encouragement helps when it comes to doing these boring exercises!

That's great to hear that Vestibio is helping with your vrt exercises Catherine! Also, thank you for your suggestions about having multiple exercises in one session and about gamifying it. We appreciate your feedback on how we can improve this app to make it an even better tool for those with a vestibular disorder. Thank you so much Catherine!

Fantastic app for keeping track of my vertigo exercises. Best part is that I don't have to count to 30 myself anymore! The only thing is that the app stops if I tab out or turn off my screen, but that isn't a priority mid-exercise.

That's great to hear Cavnah! And thank you very much for telling me about the issue, just glad you're still able to do the exercises and get benefit from it. The project hasn't been updated in a while but will mark it down to fix when time permits. But if it starts to impact exercises, just let me know. Cheers, Jasmine

So helpful to have a metronome and a timer together. Also appreciate the graphs of how I am doing.
