Bring the colors on your screen into the room. Ambient Light TV samples a screen or compatible camera and sends lighting output to the controller you configure.
A compatible light controller and lights are required and are not included. Choose WLED, Hyperion, a supported USB serial controller using Adalight protocols, or lights connected to your Home Assistant instance.
SET UP YOUR LIGHTS
• Configure a network controller or supported USB serial device.
• Discover compatible WLED and Hyperion services on your network.
• Map LED counts, starting corner, direction, offset, and gaps to your installation.
• Preview the LED layout and adjust sampling depth and screen margins.
• Assign Home Assistant lights to screen edges, corners, or the average screen color, with an optional additional Home Assistant output.
TUNE THE ATMOSPHERE
• Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, RGB balance, and gamma.
• Apply smoothing and delay, or use the average screen color.
• Enable black-border detection to adjust the sampled area.
• Load and start effects offered by a compatible WLED or Hyperion controller.
CHOOSE YOUR CAPTURE SOURCE
Use standard Android screen capture with system permission, or select a camera exposed by Android and calibrate the four screen corners. Optional ADB, root, and device-specific capture methods are available for compatible setups with the required authorization. Camera options include dark-scene and static-scene sleep behavior.
DESIGNED FOR TV
Navigate with a remote or touch controls. Start and stop a lighting session from the main screen and use the session notification to stop output. The interface supports English, Russian, and German, follows the system language by default, and also offers a language selector.
DATA AND CONNECTIONS
No app account, ads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or automatic analytics. Captured frames are processed in memory without saving media recordings or capturing audio. WLED and USB receive LED colors; Home Assistant receives light commands and authentication data; Hyperion receives reduced-resolution RGB image frames. Destinations are chosen by you. Some protocols are unencrypted. Diagnostic text is shared only when you choose to share it.
COMPATIBILITY
Requires Android 8.0 or later on a supported ARM device. Network outputs require a reachable controller; USB and camera features require compatible hardware. Protected video can appear black. ADB methods require debugging authorization; root and vendor methods require existing device support. Results, delay, and frame rate vary with hardware and configuration. Compatibility with every light strip, controller, camera, or video app is not guaranteed.
Match TV colors to compatible light controllers, with screen or camera capture.
