Am I Dead? is a daily check-in and activity-awareness app designed for people who live alone.

Open the app, complete your daily check-in, and continue with your day. Depending on the features you enable and the permissions you grant, the app may use supported device signals to help detect whether the expected check-in or activity signal has been received.

If no expected check-in or supported activity signal is detected within the configured period, the app may send a calm email to a trusted contact suggesting that they check in with you.

How it works

1. Open the app.
2. Complete your daily check-in.
3. Enable the required features and permissions.
4. Close the app and continue your day.
5. If the expected check-in or supported activity signal is not received, the app may contact your designated trusted contact.

The timing, contact rules, and alert behavior depend on your app settings. Alerts are intended to prompt a trusted person to check in with you. They are not proof that anything has happened to you.
