The Vigil has shattered, and the tide of shadows threatens to engulf what little remains of the world. You are a Watcher, the last line of defense against death.

WAKENING is a top-down, action-packed roguelike survival game where every expedition is a brutal fight for survival. Enter the Ashfields, the Drowned Woods, and the Crypt City, withstand endless waves of nightmare, absorb ether essences, and unleash devastating synergies. Can you hold out long enough to extract the loot and return alive to the Bastion?

⚔️ THREE UNIQUE LINEAGES AND COMBAT STYLES
• THE EXHUMED: Lord of necromancy. Raise armies of skeletons, summon bone abominations, and detonate the corpses of your enemies in deadly chain reactions.

• THE FERAL: Guardian of primal nature. Transform in real time between Primal Bear (resistance and stomps), Shadow Wolf (speed and slash), and Raven (ranged aerial attacks).

• THE MARKED: Master of forbidden magic. Sacrifice your own health to activate bleeding seals, chains of stigma, and massive cataclysms of ruin.

🔮 EVOLVING ABILITIES AND SYNERGIES
Each active ability goes up to level 5 and EVOLVES into a higher form: walls of bone become protective rings, soul spears become ether boomerangs, and summons mutate into ancient liches. Combine passives and affixes to discover unstoppable builds on every run.

🏰 REBUILD THE STRONGHOLD (ROGUELITE META-PROGRESSION)
Between each expedition, return to your refuge. Rebuild the Bastion building by building:
- The Bonfire: Raise your base attributes (Strength, Intelligence, Vitality) and manage your shared stash.

- The Forge: Combine fragments to craft and upgrade legendary gear.

- The Altar and The Crypt: Consecrate aether relics and unlock the Tree of Remembrance.

Each restored building grants permanent upgrades for all your characters.

Do you dominate the surface areas? Descend into the Abyss. Face endless, procedurally generated floors with extreme difficulty modifiers. Compete in the weekly and all-time global leaderboards and prove who the true Watcher is.
