📱 How It Works

Deleted Messages: View & Save uses Android's Notification Access to read incoming WhatsApp notifications. Each new message is saved locally on your phone. When media (photos, videos, voice notes) arrives, the app saves a copy from your WhatsApp media folder. If the sender later deletes the message or media, your saved copy stays in the app — no backup, no cloud sync, no root needed.

This approach to WhatsApp recovery means there is nothing to scan, no database to access, and no data leaves your device.

🔔 Notification History, Not Magic

The app works only with what your phone has already received through notifications. There is no scanning of WhatsApp's database, no backup file restore, no cloud sync, and no root access required. If the notification reached your phone, the app can keep a copy.

⚠️ When the App Can't Help

The app captures content as it arrives. It cannot recover:

Messages sent before you installed the app
Chats that are muted in WhatsApp (no notification is generated)
Messages received while you're already viewing that chat
Content that arrived when WhatsApp notifications were turned off
Media that didn't finish downloading because your internet was off

🔒 Privacy by Design

Your saved messages stay on your device only. The app does not upload, share, collect, or sync your content to any external server or cloud. The app uses standard Android Notification Access and folder permission only.
