About this app

Anchor is the parent companion app for the Anchor parental control system.

Anchor for Child runs the actual enforcement on your kid's device. This app, Anchor, is the dashboard you keep on your own phone. Both apps are required. Install Anchor for Child on the kid's device first, then install Anchor on yours and pair the two with a one-time code.

WHAT THIS APP DOES

- Pair your parent phone to your kid's Anchor for Child install with a six-character code
- Set the schedule. School hours, bedtime, study blocks, weekends, custom windows
- Pick which apps and which sites to gate, from a parent-side picker
- Receive tamper alerts on your phone if parental controls get turned off on the kid's device
- Approve or deny ask-parent unlock requests when your kid taps the unlock button on a blocked app
- See app-usage rollups and schedule-compliance summaries for each child you pair
- Manage subscription tier, payment, and the founders perk in one place

WHAT YOU SEE FROM THIS APP

- Pair-code flow at first launch
- A dashboard per paired child with the live schedule state and the active block list
- A tamper-alert feed. When the parental controls on the child device get turned off, a push notification arrives on your phone with what was changed and when
- An unlock request queue. The kid asks, you approve or deny, the block lifts only if you approve

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO

- It does not enforce blocks. Anchor for Child does that on the kid's device
- It does not read the kid's messages, photos, location, browsing content, or any personal content. It only sees the rollups the child app reports: which apps launched, for how long, and whether parental controls were turned off

Family, $4.99 per month or $39 per year. Up to four child devices. Full enforcement, schedule modes, tamper alerts.
Family Pro, $9.99 per month or $79 per year. Unlimited child devices. Priority support, early access to new features.

Both tiers ship with a 14-day free trial. No card at signup. Billing begins on day 15.

1. Install Anchor for Child on your kid's Android phone from the Play Store
2. Install Anchor (this app) on your own phone
3. Open this app, generate a pair code, enter the code in the child app
4. Set your schedule and pick the apps and sites to gate
5. Get on with your day. Tamper alerts will reach you if controls get turned off on the child device

WHO BUILT THIS

Anchor was built by a small, anonymous team of operators who got tired of watching parental control apps fail the people who installed them. We do not put faces on the work. The work has to hold on its own.
