Awareen helps you stay mindful of your screen time without blocking, limits, or interruptions. A small, persistent overlay timer stays visible while you use your phone, quietly reminding you how long you’ve been on your device. The goal is awareness, not restriction.
The overlay adapts to your usage using three awareness levels. During normal use the timer stays green. As usage increases it turns yellow to signal caution, and red during extended sessions. Optional blinking can be enabled for stronger awareness. All time thresholds are fully customizable.
Awareen is designed to fit your personal focus style. You can adjust time limits, colors, font size, and overlay position, and choose when the timer resets each day. The overlay works across all apps and remains visible without disrupting your flow.
You can also view your total daily screen time, track long-term usage trends, and identify peak distraction periods. All analytics are simple, clear, and stored only on your device.
Awareen runs reliably in the background, starts automatically after reboot, and is built to stay active without constant interaction. The interface is minimal by design, focusing on function rather than noise.
Privacy is a core principle. Awareen has no accounts, no ads, and no data leaves your device. The app is fully open source and transparent.
