Warsh from Nafi' via the Asbahani route is one of the methods of reciting the Quran according to the recitation of Imam Nafi' al-Madani.

Warsh: He is Uthman ibn Sa'id al-Misri, one of the narrators of Imam Nafi'.

Nafi' al-Madani: One of the seven famous reciters.

The Asbahani route: This is the method of narrating Warsh as transmitted by Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Asbahani.

🛤️ Warsh's Famous Methods

Warsh has two main methods:

1. The Azraq Method ← This is the most famous and widespread method today.

2. The Asbahani Method ← This is less widespread and has lighter and easier aspects in some rulings.

⚖️ The Most Important Differences Between the Asbahani and Azraq Methods

1️⃣ Lengthening

Asbahani:

Often shortening the separate lengthening (two counts).

Connected lengthening: 4 or 5 counts.

Azraq:

Often lengthening the separate lengthening to 4, 5, or 6 counts.

2️⃣ Hamza (Gambling)

The softening of the hamza is present in both methods according to Warsh.

However, the Asbahani method is less extensive in its variations of hamza compared to the Azraq method.

3️⃣ Substitution

Asbahani: Shortening (two counts) in the substitute lengthening.

Azraq: Allows shortening, medium lengthening, and long lengthening.

4️⃣ Imala and Taqlil (Inclination and Reduction)

Both methods share the principles of imala and taqlil according to Warsh, with some differences. Some detailed aspects
