About this app

Work in Korea and want to know what actually lands in your bank account? This calculator runs the numbers under Korean labor and tax law, and shows every line of the calculation instead of one final total.

◆ Net pay from gross salary
- Enter a monthly or annual gross figure and see take-home pay after deductions
- National Pension, National Health Insurance, Long-Term Care, and Employment Insurance at the official 2026 employee rates
- Income tax and local income tax estimated with the withholding-table method, adjusted for the number of dependents you claim
- Separate mode for part-time and freelance contracts withheld at a flat 3.3%

◆ Hourly pay and weekly holiday allowance
- Enter your hourly rate and weekly hours to get weekly and monthly pay
- Weekly holiday allowance (juhyu sudang) is added automatically once you work 15 hours or more per week, and skipped when you do not qualify
- The 90% probation rate for the first three months is one toggle
- The 2026 minimum wage of 10,320 won per hour is built in, and the app flags a rate entered below it

◆ Severance pay and annual leave
- Severance uses the statutory formula: average daily wage × 30 days × days of service ÷ 365
- Shows the daily average wage and the service days behind the figure
- Tells you when you are still under the one-year threshold and not yet eligible
- Annual leave comes with it: 15 days after a full year, plus one more day every two years from year three, and the monthly accrual rule for your first year

◆ Every step is visible
Each result opens into the lines behind it: the base amount, each deduction, and the formula applied at that step. You can check what was taken out and why, rather than trusting a single number.

◆ Rates stay current
Minimum wage and insurance rates change every year. The app updates those figures on its own, so a rate change does not wait for a new version.

◆ Who it is for
- Foreign employees in Korea checking a first payslip against the contract
- Part-time and hourly workers who want to know if holiday allowance applies
- Anyone comparing a job offer by take-home pay instead of gross
- Anyone leaving a job and estimating severance and unused leave

◆ Notes
- All amounts are in Korean won, and the app interface is in Korean
- Insurance deductions follow the official 2026 rates; income tax is an estimate, since your employer's payroll may include other items
- No account is needed
For workers in Korea: net pay, holiday allowance and severance, step by step.
