Grainfall is a sand-sorting puzzle about turning a jumble of color back into tidy order.
Tap a jar to lift it. Tap another to pour. The sand falls grain by grain and settles into the jar below. Keep pouring until every jar holds one color and nothing is mixed.
That is the whole game. There is no tutorial to sit through, no timer counting down, and no lives to run out of.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• Sand that actually falls. Every pour is thousands of individual grains, drawn as they tip out of the neck and settle into the sand already there. Nothing snaps or swaps.
• Jars, not test tubes. Soft hand-drawn glass, warm terracotta and sage, and sand that looks like sand rather than flat color.
• Boards that keep changing. Rings, arcs, ragged columns, tidy grids — the arrangement shifts as you go, so a level never looks like the one before it.
• Undo anything. One tap takes back a pour, so you can try an idea without losing your place.
DIG DOWN LAYER BY LAYER
Each episode goes further underground. You start in loose topsoil and work down through garden terraces, clay, limestone and iron toward bedrock, and new sands turn up as you descend: potting soil, river sand, volcanic ash, moss, seafoam pebbles, storm slate, amethyst and rose quartz.
Every level is checked by a solver before it ships, so a puzzle you are stuck on always has a way out. It is never luck.
PLAY ANYWHERE
Grainfall works completely offline. No connection is needed to play — not for a level, not to start it, not ever.
Your progress travels with your Google account, so a new phone carries on exactly where the old one stopped.
QUIET BY DESIGN
No timers. No lives. No energy meter telling you to come back in twenty minutes.
The first episode is completely free of ads. After that, a full-screen ad appears after every second level you finish. One optional purchase removes ads for good.
If sorting things soothes you, this was made for you.
A calm sand sort puzzle. Pour until every jar holds a single color.
