Destination is a strict focus and digital wellbeing app for Android. It helps you reduce distracting app use with app blocking, schedules, Pomodoro sessions, usage limits, emergency access, Home/Outdoor Focus, Eye Care display controls, and optional advanced device protection.
Core features:
• Block distracting apps during focus sessions, schedules, and Pomodoro sessions
• Create app groups, usage budgets, hourly/daily limits, and opens-per-day limits
• Allow emergency apps and temporary emergency unlocks when needed
• Use Home/Outdoor Focus to change blocking behavior based on your saved home area
Important access and permission disclosure:
AccessibilityService API:
Destination uses the Android AccessibilityService API for its Anti Addiction and app-blocking features. With your explicit permission, Destination uses AccessibilityService to detect which app is currently open on your device. This allows Destination to apply the focus rules you create, such as blocking distracting apps, applying Anti Addiction restrictions, or enabling app-specific display effects while a protected app is on screen.
Destination may process accessibility events related to foreground app/window changes and package names needed to identify when a blocked or protected app is opened. Destination does not use AccessibilityService to read typed text, private messages, passwords, payment information, or personal screen content. Destination does not use AccessibilityService for call recording, remote audio recording, remote control, advertising, or deceptive UI changes.
Device Owner / device management:
Destination can be set up as a Device Owner to enforce strict focus rules more reliably. When you choose this setup, Destination may use Android device-management APIs to suspend selected apps, prevent selected app uninstalls, restrict bypass routes such as some device settings, manage lock task behavior, apply lockscreen owner text, and enforce selected network or time-related protections. These controls are used only for focus, anti-distraction, and device-protection rules configured in Destination.
Usage Access:
Destination uses Usage Access to read app activity and usage statistics for timers, schedules, app budgets, opens-per-day limits, and usage-based blocking. Usage data is used to calculate and enforce the limits you configure.
Location and background location:
This app collects location data to enable Home/Outdoor Focus mode even when the app is closed or not in use. Destination uses your saved home location and geofence status to decide whether Home/Outdoor Focus rules should apply. Location data is used for this focus feature and is not used for ads.
Notification Access:
Destination may use Notification Access to detect active music playback from media notifications and media sessions. This is used for optional music app limits. Destination does not use Notification Access to read your private conversations for advertising or profiling.
Private DNS and network controls:
Destination may optionally set a Private DNS hostname that you choose, such as an adult-content filtering DNS provider. When this policy is active, Destination may restrict VPN or Private DNS settings to prevent bypassing the selected focus/network rule. DNS providers you choose may process DNS queries under their own policies.
Write Secure Settings:
Destination may optionally use Write Secure Settings for Eye Care and protected display controls, such as scheduled grayscale or night display effects. This access is used only for display-related focus features configured by you.
Privacy:
Destination uses these permissions only for the focus, blocking, usage-limit, location-based focus, music-limit, device-protection, network-protection, and Eye Care features shown in the app. Destination does not sell permission-derived personal data and does not use AccessibilityService, location, usage access, notification access, or installed-app visibility for advertising.
