About this game

Tilt your phone. The ball rolls. The way out is at the top.

Neonda is a maze you steer with your hands, not your thumbs — lean the device and a neon ball answers, bouncing off walls, gathering speed down a corridor, settling in a dead end you did not mean to enter. Every maze is drawn as lit glass on black, and every one of them is generated, so nobody has played the one you are playing.

ONE MAZE A DAY, THE SAME FOR EVERYONE
Every day there is a challenge maze, and it is identical for every player in the world. Your first run is the one that counts — you can play it again afterwards for practice, but the time on record is the time you set when it mattered. Finish it day after day and a streak builds.

A MAZE FITS IN EIGHT CHARACTERS
Nothing is downloaded, ever. A maze is a shape and a number, so its code is the whole of it. Read eight characters out to somebody across the room, or let them scan it off your screen, and they play exactly the maze you played — the same walls, the same coins, the same music. Keep the ones worth keeping and send them on.

YOU CANNOT TAKE EVERYTHING
Skills are earned by playing: a compass that points, a thread that marks the corridors you have already walked to the end, a portal through one wall, brakes for when the ball is faster than your nerve. Before a maze you choose which to carry, and there are fewer slots than skills.

A COLLECTION THAT DOES NOT RUN OUT
Badges for the mazes you finish, and they keep coming — ten, twenty-five, fifty, and onward for as long as you play. Beyond them are the characters: a face, a name, and two words about what that person did. They are earned only by mazes you have never seen before, so repeats do not count, and the last of them is a lifetime away.

MUSIC THAT COMES OUT OF THE MAZE
No licensed tracks. Each maze synthesises its own theme from the same number that built its walls, which is why a shared code carries its music with it.

PLAYS ANYWHERE
No account needed to play, and no network. The whole game runs on the device — on a plane, on the underground, on a phone with the data switched off. Sign in with Google only if you want your daily time ranked against everybody else's.

Neonda is free. It carries advertising, and the ones that pay you a reward are always your choice to watch.
Tilt to roll a neon ball out of the maze. A new one for everyone, every day.
