Ratings and reviews

This app offers little except frustration trying to get it connected to the network. As others noted, higher-end models are partly distinguished by WiFi connectivity, but if you can't connect, it's a useless gimmick. First, the QR code scanner component clearly doesn't work for everyone. Even upon manual SN entry, I get errors unable to retrieve data or service outages. I did get it connected despite the setup bugs using trial and error. This app needs a re-design from scratch.

The water heater works very well, but does not remain connected to WiFi reliably, despite strong signal. If it loses the connection, you almost always have to restart the WiFi on the water heater, as it doesn't reconnect gracefully. Hopefully this can be fixed via firmware. The app itself could be more informative, particularly about how it's utilizing the TOU rates I've programmed in. Also, the app tends to lose its session every few days, requiring you to log back in.

This app is really limited. You'd think in 2023 a Wi-Fi connected water heater app would make it possible for you to change the temp of your water heater from your phone. Not this app. It makes it seem possible, till you actually attempt to change it & you get an error message after hitting save that it's "unable to update setpoint". I even unlocked the control panel in hopes that would fix this issue. So basically the app is useless, cept for getting a low battery text.
