Academy of Policy and Development, established under Decision No. 10/QD-TTg dated January 4, 2008 of the Prime Minister, is a public university under the national education system. In terms of organization, the Academy is under the Ministry of Planning and Investment - an agency of the Government, performing the function of state management of planning, development investment and statistics, including: general advice on strategy national socio-economic development strategies and plans; development planning, mechanisms and policies for economic management in general and a number of specific fields; domestic investment, foreign investment in Vietnam and Vietnam's investment abroad; economic zones (including industrial parks, border-gate economic zones, high-tech zones and other types of economic zones); management of official development assistance and foreign non-governmental aid; Bidding; establishment and development of enterprises and collective economic areas and cooperatives; statistical; State management of public services in the branches and domains under the Ministry's management according to the provisions of law.
