About this game

Test your knowledge of soccer's official rules with Apex Rules of the Game. Over 700 questions across 7 categories cover the 17 Laws of the Game, from the field and equipment to offside, fouls and misconduct, set pieces, refereeing and referee signals, updated for the 2026/27 Laws.

BUILT FOR YOUNG REFEREES
Choose your game format: 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11. Small-sided quizzes follow US Soccer's standards for U9 to U12, including the build-out line, heading, punting, field and goal sizes, game length and the concussion protocol.

READ THE SIGNALS
See a referee's signal and name it. Twenty-four signals from play on to holding.

FOUR DIFFICULTY LEVELS
Start as a Beginner with 30 seconds per question, or go Expert with just 10. Every quiz is 10 questions drawn at random, with the answers shuffled each time.

LEARN AS YOU PLAY
Every answer comes with a short explanation, and you can review the questions you missed at the end of each quiz.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Your accuracy, best scores and streaks are kept for every category and difficulty. A daily challenge picks a fresh category and difficulty every day.
