About this app

MotionCue is a visual motion-cue app designed for passengers who experience motion sickness or discomfort while using their phone in a moving vehicle.

When you're in a car, bus, train or taxi, your eyes may see a stationary phone screen while your body feels the vehicle accelerating, braking and turning. MotionCue adds subtle visual cues that respond to the movement of the vehicle, giving your eyes an additional reference while you use your phone.

Use MotionCue over any app

Start MotionCue before or during your journey, then switch to the app you want to use. MotionCue can display a touch-through cue layer over your screen while Android processes the available motion sensor data on your device.

Read a book, browse the web, message friends, watch videos or use another app while the visual cues remain visible.

Privacy and permissions

Motion sensor processing stays on your device. MotionCue does not require an account.

Display over other apps permission is required to show the touch-through visual cues over other apps.

Optional automatic in-vehicle detection uses Physical activity access in the background. You can disable this feature in MotionCue Settings.

MotionCue does not request Android location permission.

The free edition contains Google advertising. Depending on your choices and Google's applicable services, advertising may involve identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics and general location inferred from IP address. The MotionCue cue overlay itself does not contain advertising.
