apoTAN – so you can handle your banking transactions securely.
With the free apoTAN, you can secure your online banking login and authorize transactions. Quickly and easily via the apoTAN app.
BENEFITS
apoTAN combines three security methods in one app
(1) pushTAN – Authorize transactions directly in the app
• With the pushTAN method, you receive a notification on your smartphone when a transaction is pending approval in online banking.
• Simply open the notification in the apoTAN app and check if the information in the app matches your transaction.
• Then authorize the transaction directly in the apoTAN app.
• Manual entry of the TAN is not required.
• All you need is an active internet connection on your smartphone or tablet.
(2) photoTAN – Authorize transactions without an internet connection
• If your smartphone or tablet is not connected to the internet, you can also use the photoTAN function of the apoTAN app.
• Select the photoTAN menu item and scan the photoTAN graphic displayed in online banking with the apoTAN app.
• A 6-digit TAN will then be displayed in the app, which you can use to authorize the transaction in your online banking.
(3) App2App - Security for Banking with Your Smartphone
• Authorize transactions in the apoBank app.
• Execute your transactions in the apoBank app and simply authorize them in your apoTAN app.
• Manual TAN entry is no longer necessary.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE PREVIOUS APOTAN+ PASSWORD:
• Authentication in the apoTAN app has changed from apoTAN password to apoTAN PIN with version 5.0. This applies to all new setups and any changes.
• All users who already had the previous apoTAN+ app (version 4.x) installed and activated can continue using their existing apoTAN+ password for the time being after the update. Enter this password in the apoTAN PIN field.
• Switching to a new 6-digit apoTAN PIN is only necessary when changing your password.
SECURITY INFORMATION
• The app meets high security standards. However, it is essential that you ensure your mobile device is free of malware, has up-to-date security software, and that the screen lock is enabled to prevent unauthorized access and transaction processing. Please also refer to your apoBank's security information.
• For security reasons, the app does not work on rooted devices or jailbroken mobile devices.
• Version 5.0.6 features enhanced security and now only allows certified third-party keyboards. If the keyboard used does not meet the requirements, the app will close immediately upon launch. Switching to the default keyboard is required.
