I used to be a heavy user of BT under the old app (particularly when driving). Unfortunately, the new app no longer allows downloading. And, if I try to listen through streaming, the app goes to sleep after five minutes. BT has great material. I wish that I could access it through the app. Until they get it fixed, I've switched to getting my free courses through the Covenant Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary apps. I hope that the issues get addressed!

The lectures are great, and now you CAN listen without the phone going to sleep. Still, some minor tweaks need to be made. 1: If the app is stopped unexpectedly, it does not update your most recent progress. 2: if playback terminates unexpectedly - like driving out of cel coverage - past progress is deleted. It's almost there!

In this kind of app the content is everything, but in the older version (pre-June 2026) of the app there were very annoying bugs. Now they seem to have been fixed. (Update: unfortunately the newer fall 2026 ver. has different serious bugs.) The content represents the very best of conservative protestant (evangelical, in the non-political meaning of the word) serious academic scholarship and spirituality. You really can't find better in one place - and this is for free.
