‘My Chat Lesson’ is India’s 1st Chat Learning Platform which leverages the proven advantages of microlearning and conversational design through ‘Conversational Learning’ to make learning natural, simple and fun.
Data says as much as 73% of 13- to 17-year-olds have their own smartphones or have access to one (and this is growing). These kids spend a significant time chatting with friends on the mobile phone.
‘My Chat Lesson’ aims to deliver learning through chat on mobile devices for easy, quick, 24/7 access and consumption. Relevant learning content is available to these kids in the moment of need and on the go.
In the context of continuous learning, ‘My Chat Lesson’ creates a learning experience similar to one-on-one teaching.
• In ‘My Chat Lesson’, Conversational Learning turns a social chat scenario into a simulated training experience by presenting e-learning content as a chat conversation.
• Learning takes place by watching a simulated conversation between two other people.
• Training sessions feel like a natural conversation with a friend or good colleague - personal, fun and to the point.
• Information is given in small nuggets
o Further explanations/ assessment are inserted into the course of the conversation (E.g. videos, 3-D models, PDF’s or quizzes)
• Learners determine the course of the conversational learning lesson by answering single or multiple-choice questions.
o Depending on the response, the entire learning scenario can change and the user is immediately shown the consequences – just as in real life.
• Diverse topics can be taught with personalization and animation using the conversational learning technique.
Today’s kids are also distracted and impatient. Kids – especially Teens – rebel any restrictions in their mobile usage. Instead of fighting this rising trend, ‘My Chat Lesson’ attempts to derive benefit from it by leveraging mobile for ‘Conversational Learning’ targeted at curriculum for teens.
