this app puts in the work. I click on a short, it immediately closes it. no fluff, no "oh well sometimes it does but not always", just does exactly what it claims. I haven't watched shorts in like a week. only complaint is I wish it could somehow hide shorts from my YouTube app so I wouldn't see them to click on them in the first place, but as long as I can't watch it, idrc.

It's a pretty good app and does what it's supposed to for the most part. the shorts blocking is perfect but the only issue I have is with the reels. this app only blocks reels when you specifically click on them, meaning that on the main feed you can still see reels. that honestly didn't help since I ended up doomscrolling there anyway.

It works, but I have serious data concerns. The app requires full access to the phone, including viewing your screen on any app and even taking actions (which I assume is how they are able to close shorts). I don't see any solid guarantees that the app isn't collecting personal data in malicious intent.
