The mobile app 'Poetry Appreciation and Morality' was jointly developed by the Quality Education Fund project "From Appreciation of Classical Chinese Poetry to Moral and Affective Education" and the CKC Centre for the Development of Information Technology in Chinese Language Teaching of the Education University of Hong Kong . It is one of the research outputs of the funded project.
The purpose of this app is to provide the public with teaching materials for learning Classical Chinese poetry. The app covers the text, annotations, translation, and appreciation of poetry works, and is accompanied by recordings of poem recitations in Cantonese and Putonghua for mobile phone users to listen to. In addition, each section also has an assessment test for users to evaluate their learning effectiveness.
