Launched on April 24, 2003, Gujarat’s SWAGAT (State-Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology) is a pioneering initiative for effective, transparent, and accountable grievance redressal. It leverages digital and communication technologies to connect the Hon. Chief Minister with District and Sub-District Officers through an online portal and video conferencing.
The program conducts monthly grievance redressal sessions, where the Hon. Chief Minister personally addresses unresolved issues, ensuring prompt resolutions and maintaining transparency. Citizens can track their application status online. Expanded in 2008, SWAGAT now operates at Sub-District, District, and State levels, covering 248
Sub-District offices and 6.25 million citizens, promoting good governance and accessibility
across Gujarat.
