Touch Notch uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect your taps, swipes, and gestures on the notch/camera cutout area and to perform the actions you assign to them — such as taking screenshots, locking your screen, controlling media playback, toggling flashlight/WiFi/Bluetooth, and launching apps. This permission is required because Android does not provide a standard API for intercepting touch gestures on a specific screen region system-wide. The Accessibility Service is used strictly to read gesture input and trigger the automation actions you configure; Touch Notch does not use this permission to read, collect, or transmit personal data, screen content, or any information from other apps.
