Accessibility Service Usage:

UnlockED uses the AccessibilityService API to provide optional parental control and educational focus features. This functionality is designed to help children remain focused during active quiz and learning sessions.

How we use the API:

Restricted App Detection:
We use the AccessibilityService API to identify when a parent-selected restricted app is opened during an active quiz or focus session.

App Restriction:
If a selected restricted app is opened during an active session, UnlockED temporarily blocks access and displays an educational learning or quiz screen to help children stay focused.

Transparency & User Awareness:
When focus restrictions are active, UnlockED displays a persistent notification so users are always aware that quiz focus mode is running.

Limited Data Usage:
The service only accesses the package name of the currently active app to determine whether it matches a parent-selected restricted app.

No Sensitive Data Collection:
UnlockED does NOT read messages, capture keystrokes, record audio, access photos, or collect personal content through the AccessibilityService API.

Parent-Guided Controls:
Selected app restriction preferences may be shared between linked parent and child accounts to support parental control functionality.

Limited Usage Scope:
Accessibility features are only active during parent-enabled quiz or focus sessions and are not used for continuous background monitoring or surveillance.

User Control:
Accessibility permissions are optional and are only enabled after explicit user consent through an in-app disclosure screen. Users can disable this permission at any time from Android Accessibility Settings.
